Star Fremantle Dockers forward Jesse Hogan was taken to hospital on Sunday after flipping his car in an accident in Perth.

Hogan's car flipped on its side after he clipped a parked car in the Perth suburb of Bicton at about 11am AWST on Sunday.

A nearby resident reportedly saw the 24-year-old climb out of his white BMW after the crash.

Hogan was then taken to hospital, where he was cleared of serious damage and discharged a few hours later.

The former Demon was the only person involved in the crash.

Fremantle will give Hogan the day off training on Monday, but he's expected to be back on deck on Tuesday.

The dramatic crash on Sunday came after Hogan was making a strong recovery from foot surgery.

Hogan first injured the navicular bone in his right foot in 2018, and was forced to undergo surgery in July this year after suffering a recurrence.

Hogan has resumed running duties, and the car crash isn't expected to affect his pre-season.
