Hannah Scott will not take a backwards step when her Western Bulldogs take on Melbourne in round two of the AFLW on Friday night.

Western Bulldogs enforcer Hannah Scott has admitted her aggressive approach "gets the blood pumping" as she looks forward to Friday night's AFLW crunch clash with Melbourne at Whitten Oval.

Scott was found guilty of rough conduct and reprimanded over an incident involving St Kilda's Emma Mackie in round one.

But the All-Australian defender also produced a highlight when she won the ball a split second before a huge collision with Nadia von Bertouch on the boundary line at Moorabbin.

Loud gasps and cheers from the crowd illustrated the impact of the coming together, which also caused a stir on social media.

"Those sorts of things, it makes you think about games and memorable moments," Scott said.

"It's kind of nice to be a part of one of those moments and it gets you a bit fiery for that next contest. It gets your blood pumping a little bit."

The Bulldogs will be without injured duo Celine Moody (ankle) and 20-year-old Izzy Huntington (concussion) for the meeting with Melbourne.

"We've got faith in the girls that can step in and it potentially opens the door for some of our young talent to step in," Scott said.

Huntington will be frustrated to miss out again, having played just three times last year as she battled knee complaints and only five games since she was drafted with pick No.1 in 2017.

Both sides are unbeaten in Conference B, with Melbourne riding high on confidence after knocking off premiership favourites North Melbourne in round one.

"We started off a little bit slow but in the second half we hit our straps," Demons defender Karen Paxman said of that clash.

The two foundation AFLW clubs will play for the Hampson-Hardeman Cup, which currently sits with Melbourne after their one-point win last year.
