Stacey Livingstone has caused a stir with her assessment of high-profile Carlton forward Tayla Harris after Collingwood's AFLW win over their arch rivals.

WHAT HAPPENED IN ROUND 2 OF THE AFLW:

THEY SAID IT: "You've just gotta stop her in the air. That's her game and, if you can do that, she's useless." - Collingwood defender Stacey Livingstone tells the Seven Network how she was able to hold Carlton star Tayla Harris to one goal from just three kicks on Sunday at Ikon Park.

"Anyone who's watched Tayla play would know that that's not the case. That's borderline garbage. To suggest that there's only one element to Tayla's game is fodder." - Carlton coach Daniel Harford responded to Livingstone's comments in his post-match media conference.

STATS THAT MATTER: 11. The number of tackles Fremantle midfielder Kiara Bowers tallied in the first quarter of her team's 45-point trouncing of West Coast. Bowers ended the match with 18 tackles - just three shy of the AFLW record.

PLAYER OF THE ROUND: Daisy Pearce. Driving rain made life tough on Friday night for most Melbourne and Western Bulldogs players, but not Pearce. The Demons' skipper made a mockery of the wet conditions with a clean and classy display across half-back in her second game back at AFLW level after having twins.

KEY MOMENT: Brisbane forward Dakota Davidson feigned a kick and stepped around an oncoming Geelong opponent before snapping a goal on her right boot from 40 metres out. Her first AFLW goal was good, but the celebration was even better as she sprinted upfield with her arms raised and teammates in hot pursuit.

TALKING POINT: Expansion teams struggling. After two rounds, the four new teams in 2020 are yet to post a win against an established side. Gold Coast became the first of the new teams to win a game when they beat fellow newcomers Richmond by 11 points.

TRIBUNAL WATCH: West Coast forward Kellie Gibson unleashed a high bump in the western derby, but her opponent wasn't injured and she should escape suspension.

KEY INJURIES: Ainslie Kemp (Melbourne, knee), Emma Swanson (WC, elbow/head), Denby Taylor (Geelong, ankle), Katie Loynes (Carlton, knee), Kerryn Harrington (Carlton, thigh), Clara Fitzpatrick (St Kilda, concussion).
