One to watch: Marlion Pickett. The mature-age recruit produced one of the most remarkable debuts in AFL history when he shone on grand final day last year, almost claiming the Norm Smith Medal a week after he was best afield in the VFL grand final. He was immediately granted 'cult hero' status with the Tiger Army. Pickett, 28, has the ability to have an influence inside and outside the play and can also be dangerous around goals. A first full AFL pre-season program will prepare him well.
