Tigers AFLW captain Katie Brennan is all but certain to miss the last two games of the regular season as she continues to suffer from concussion symptoms.

Ongoing concussion symptoms will likely rule Richmond AFLW captain Katie Brennan out for the remainder of the season.

The former Western Bulldogs skipper hasn't played since suffering a concussion in a round-four loss to Geelong on February 29.

The 27-year-old has spent time in a dark room since to manage the injury, but has failed to shake the symptoms and is all but certain to miss the side's final two scheduled regular-season games against Brisbane and Adelaide.

"Given the known risks of playing sports with concussion, club medical staff are maintaining a best practice approach to recovery that prioritises Katie's health and wellbeing," Richmond AFLW club doctor Carlee van Dyk said.

Brennan played the opening four matches for Richmond this year averaging 12 disposals and four tackles.

But the first-year club has struggled with and without their skipper on the park, losing all six games and boasting a percentage of just 35.

The Tigers host the Lions on Friday before a trip to Adelaide next weekend, with both games set to be played in locked-out stadiums to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
