Gun utility Nick Blakey has joined James Rowbottom and Chad Warner in signing contract extensions with Sydney following the Swans' flying start to the AFL season.

The exciting young trio are locked in after Sydney's unbeaten start from three rounds, last week claiming the scalp of champions Richmond.

Blakey has been a revelation in his 40 games, kicking 40 goals since coming through the Swans Academy and being picked up at No.10 in the 2018 AFL draft.

The 21-year-old said he was excited by the current playing group and thrilled to sign on for another three years.

"To be signed on for another few years is really exciting," Blakey said.

"The first few rounds have been nice with the young boys playing key roles and the older guys showing us the way.

Rowbottom has also signed on until the end of 2024 while Warner has committed until the end of 2023.

Midfielder Rowbottom, who was pick 25 in the same draft as Blakey, has impressed in his 29 games to date but has been sidelined since round one with a knee injury.

"We are taking everything in our stride, week in, week out, we have done a good job and (after missing the last two games through injury) I can't wait to get back out there amongst it myself," 20-year-old Rowbottom said.

Warner, 19, has played five games, with the midfielder named the latest AFL Rising Star nominee.
