The pair have returned home from Victoria for family reasons and will miss the Saints' clash with Adelaide in Cairns on Saturday night.

Veteran Chris Mayne and forward Beau McCreery will definitely be inclusions for the match at SCG, while Cox is on an extended bench.

Brayden Sier goes out of the Magpies' team with a jaw complaint.

Ed Langdon is expected to play for the ladder-leading Demons after missing last week's win over the Brisbane Lions with concussion.

Melbourne forward Tom McDonald is on standby to miss the game as his wife Ruby is due to soon give birth, but he has been named.
