Sydney superstar Lance Franklin and North Melbourne's Cameron Zurhaar have both been offered fines by the AFL's match review officer.

Sydney superstar Lance Franklin is free to face West Coast in Sunday's crunch AFL clash after being offered a $2000 fine for his collision with Port Adelaide's Jarrod Lienert.

Franklin was charged for making forceful front-on contact against Lienert in the first quarter of the Swans' loss to Port at Adelaide Oval.

The match review officer graded Franklin's actions, which came as Lienert collected the football, as being careless conduct, low impact and high contact.

Franklin will be docked $2000 if he lodges an early plea in response to the incident, which Fox Footy commentators Mark Ricciuto and Garry Lyon both described as being "very dangerous".

The four-time Coleman medallist will be a key threat in Geelong, where the sixth-placed Swans are hosting the seventh-placed Eagles in a game that could shape the rivals' finals prospects.

Meanwhile, North Melbourne's Cameron Zurhaar can also accept a $2000 fine with an early plea after being charged for a dangerous tackle on Zac Smith.
