We should see a good divergence of playing styles as St Kilda head back to the Adelaide Oval again to face the home side.

This replay of the 1997 Grand Final has been going the same way as that result for some time apart from the last couple of years and even one of them was Covid times.

One thing Adelaide will need to do like they did in that famous game is to kick with accuracy. That has been their bugbear of 2023.

It was more class than kicking that cost them at Geelong but they did have a go and tried hard. The run off half back delivering to an attacking forward line was a key as Dawson, Smith and Laird controlled things.

They do need to get that happening here as St Kilda will try to stifle things as they did at Marvel.

Beating North by 5 goals is only about par but the way they did it is what might cause concern for Saints fans. For them winning is everything as it hasn't been that way for some time.

But 3 goals to Half Time and 8 in total isn't getting it done against your Collingwood or Geelong or Melbourne set ups.

No question they've been hamstrung by King's absence. However Adelaide won't be easy to simply flick the switch.

Should Adelaide get enough looks they can win this. St Kilda has looked ready for a loss to a side like this for some time. Their percentage all stems from the defence because their offence is only middle ranking.

They don't tend to play close games these two so maybe the best play is the big win/little win scenario. But tipping Adelaide can win here if they kick straight.
