Teenager Georgia Wareham's rise has been recognised in the new Cricket Australia women's contracted player list.

A star of Australia's World T20 title success in the Windies, spinner Wareham was upgraded to the list last season and now gets her first full national contract.

The 14-player list for 2019-20 is most notable for the lack of change, reflecting the success of a team which is world No.1 ranked in T20 and ODI cricket.

Wareham comes in at the expense of fellow spinner Amanda-Jade Wellington who lost her spot in the side earlier in the season.

"Amanda-Jade is aware of what she needs to improve to put herself back in contention for selection and her first opportunity is through the National performance Squad program," said national selector Shawn Flegler.

"Tayla Vlaeminck and Lauren Cheatle both played games for Australia last summer and, like all players in the domestic system, are eligible for an upgrade contract should they force their way into the Australian team over the coming season.

"Overall there has been minimal change in the CA contract list, which we believe is a good sign leading into a very important year with the Ashes and a home T20 World Cup."
