Australia have selected a 14-player squad for their Ashes defence, which starts on July 2 in England.

WOMEN'S ASHES SCHEDULE IN ENGLAND * 50-over games - July 2, 4, 7 * One-off Test - July 18-21 * T20s - July 26, 28, 31 WOMEN'S ASHES TALKING POINTS *The multi-format series is decided by a points system. A Test victory is rewarded with four points (two each for a draw), while each ODI and T20 win is worth two points.

*Australia won the most recent Ashes series (in 2017 at home) and also triumphed during their previous tour of England (2015). However, they were knocked out at the semi-final stage of the 2017 World Cup that England won on home soil.

*Ashleigh Gardner (who has represented her country on 44 occasions) is among five Australians in the mix to make their Test debuts. England are currently the only other nation outside Australia who plays women's Tests.
