The news is good for a net bowler who appeared badly injured after copping a cricket ball to the head while bowling to David Warner on Saturday.

The local net bowler who was taken to hospital after being hit in the head by a David Warner drive has been given the all clear.

Warner was left visibly shaken on Saturday after the young medium-pacer was hit and fell to the ground, requiring assistance from Australia's medical staff.

He was put on a stretcher and taken from The Oval in a medicab, as training was stopped for more than 10 minutes and Australian players looked on.

The youngster underwent a CT scan and was being monitored, but there were no signs of delayed concussion.

He has since spoken to Australia's doctor to confirm he was on the mend.

Australia's captain Aaron Finch said it had affected the group as they finalised their preparations for Sunday's game against India.

"Davey was obviously pretty shaken up," Finch said.

"It was a pretty decent hit to the head.

"Hopefully everything keeps going well for the youngster and he's back up and running shortly.

"It was tough to watch."

Think. Is this a bet you really want to place?
