ENGLAND v AUSTRALIA DAY THREE OF THE FIFTH TEST SNAPSHOT
STATE OF PLAY: England 294 and 8-313 Australia 225 - England lead by 382 runs with two wickets remaining.
MAN OF THE DAY: Joe Denly. Been much maligned for his displays earlier in the series but scored his third successive second-innings 50 to put England in control. The opener fell six runs shy of a maiden century when he nicked behind off Peter Siddle.
KEY MOMENT: Denly would have been out for 54 had Tim Paine opted to review a confident lbw shout from Mitch Marsh - but he opted against using the Decision Review System.
STAT OF THE DAY: England scored 304 runs on Saturday, the most in any day of the series so far as Australia's overworked bowlers laboured on a sun-drenched day in south London.
