A closer look at who shone and who struggled in the third Ashes Test at Headingley, which England won by one wicket.
WINNERS AND LOSERS FROM THE THIRD ASHES TEST, WHICH ENGLAND WON BY ONE WICKET AT HEADINGLEY
Winners:
* Ben Stokes - A truly extraordinary knock on 135 not out earned England a miraculous one-wicket win. But his performance with the ball in Australia's second innings when he took 3-56 after bowling 15 successive overs as the tourists were bowled out for 246 was equally as important.
* Josh Hazlewood - Bowled magnificently in the first innings, taking 5-30 as England were skittled out for 67, and grabbed four wickets in the second innings. Is now an undroppable member of the side after sitting out the first Test.
* Marnus Labuschagne - Scored 80 and 74 on the back of his half-century at Lord's. The only Australia batsman apart from David Warner, who scored 61, to score any meaningful runs and will now keep his spot for the rest of the series even when Steve Smith returns.
* Jofra Archer - Continued his stunning introduction to Test cricket by taking 6-45 in Australia's first innings - sacrificing his express pace for line and length. A genuine match-winning talent who the tourists must get to grips with in the fourth Test.
Losers
* Nathan Lyon - Broke Dennis Lillee's record with the dismissal of Joe Root on Sunday, but it was his only wicket of the match and his first since bowling Australia to victory in the first Test. Butchered a run out of Jack Leach that would have won the Ashes for Australia.
* Jason Roy - England's explosive one-day opener hasn't been able to transfer his skills to the red ball game and has now scored nine, eight, 0, two, 28 and 10 in his last six innings and appears to have been worked out by the Australian seamers.
* Marcus Harris - Brought into the side to replace Cameron Bancroft but only managed to make 19 and eight. Dropped Ben Stokes in England's run chase and also threw to the wrong end as Stokes and Jack Leach were scampering for a second run. Had he thrown the ball to Tim Paine, Stokes could have been run out.
* Umpire Joel Wilson. Once again the Trinidadian official was in the middle of a poor decision controversy. After Australia had burned their reviews, he ruled Stokes was not out lbw to Nathan Lyon with two runs needed for victory. Replays showed the ball would have smashed into the stumps.
