The Melbourne Stars have equalled the most amount of wins during a BBL regular season still with three more matches to come before finals.

In the unpredictable world of Twenty20 cricket, the Melbourne Stars are a picture of consistency.

The table-topping Stars have already equalled the most wins in a BBL regular season - tied with Hobart's 10 last season - with three matches to come before finals.

It's only the second tournament in an expanded 14-game format, but at 10-1 and with three first-choice players still to return, the Stars are hot favourites to secure their elusive maiden title.

Stars captain Glenn Maxwell said he had full faith in his team getting the job done in all conditions.

Despite managing just 141 batting first on Saturday, they tied down the Perth Scorchers with 14 overs of spin to win by 10 runs.

"The other day on a fast, bouncy wicket we were able to restrict a team to 86," Maxwell said.

"To then turn it around completely on a slow, low wicket, we were able to adapt."

The Stars have already wrapped up a double chance for the finals and will get Adam Zampa, Peter Handscomb, and Pakistani quick Haris Rauf back from international duties next week.

"I don't think we're going to change too much in the lead-up," Maxwell said.

"You don't want to risk form heading into finals.

"For us, getting an Adam Zampa back, who's been world-class in Big Bash for a long time and dominating over there (in India)."

The Stars next travel to play the Sydney Sixers at the SCG on Monday.
