Cricket Australia's notable contract news for the 2020-21 season.
CRICKET AUSTRALIA CONTRACT LISTS
BIGGEST WINNER
Men: Marnus Labuschagne. Selectors' rankings of the 20 players won't be made public, but the hard-working batsman will comfortably sit in the top half after being elevated onto the list.
Women: Annabel Sutherland. The 18-year-old has enjoyed an incredible couple of months, making her international debut then earning her first national contract.
UNLUCKIEST EXCLUSION
Men: Usman Khawaja. Chairman of selectors Trevor Hohns said as much himself, noting the veteran could yet return as a Test opener after being overlooked throughout the recent home summer.
Women: Erin Burns. Earned a contract upgrade last year and was part of Australia's Twenty20 World Cup squad, but selectors opted to look elsewhere.
NOTABLE INCLUSION
Men: Mitch Marsh. Was left off last year's list but has reclaimed his status as Australia's premier allrounder, could potentially be one of few three-format players in the group during the coming year.
Women: Tahlia McGrath. Hasn't played international cricket since 2017, will add depth to Australia's allrounder stocks as Ellyse Perry continues to recover from injury.
