Fixtures for the 10th edition of the Big Bash League have been announced by Cricket Australia, but venues for games in January are still yet to be locked in.
This summer's Big Bash League will start at Bellerive Oval on December 10, when defending champions Sydney Sixers face Hobart Hurricanes.
Cricket Australia has revealed its revised fixtures for the upcoming BBL season.
Dates and starting times for games in January have been announced, but venues for these clashes are yet to be locked in as CA waits for further clarity regarding movement between states.
"An announcement on these venues will be made in the coming weeks," BBL boss Alistair Dobson said.
"This is without doubt the most complex fixturing task ever undertaken by the league and we are excited with where it has landed.
"It has been a difficult year for so many people around Australia and we look forward to bringing the BBL to every state should border conditions allow us to."
The Twenty20 competition will run until February 6, with a five-match finals series beginning on January 29.
A final call is yet to be made regarding hosting rights for the playoffs.
CA hopes to bring BBL games to Western Australia, NSW and Victoria in January; plans are afoot for Melbourne to host the end of the regular season.
The governing body had scheduled three games on January 26, when the Australia Day public holiday will serve as the final day of the regular season.
Australia's best players will be free of national-team commitments once the fourth Test against India ends on January 19.
However, Steve Smith has already ruled himself out of a BBL stint and many Test stars will be keen for a break after spending months in a biosecurity bubble.
The BBL will begin in Tasmania and ACT hubs, with matches played in Hobart, Launceston, Canberra, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Adelaide during December.
Tasmania will host eight games in 11 days, including the tournament opener and a double header in Hobart on December 13.
A New Year's Eve clash at Adelaide Oval between Adelaide Strikers and Perth Scorchers will be the last of 21 matches in December.
