STEVE SMITH LEADS ANOTHER DAY OF BATTING DOMINANCE FROM AUSTRALIA

* Smith registered centuries in consecutive ODIs for the first time in his career

* Smith also made it three one-day tons on the trot against India, having departed a tour of India earlier this year after a knock of 131

* Glenn Maxwell, like Smith, has ended an Indian Premier League slump in staggering fashion. Maxwell has scored 108 runs this series, the same number of runs he managed in 13 games for Kings XI Punjab

* Australia's 4-389 is their highest ODI score at the SCG and 28 runs short of their highest ODI score in the country (6-417 v Afghanistan in 2015)

* David Warner (83), Aaron Finch (60) Smith (104), Marnus Labuschagne (70), Maxwell (63no) all played a role in the carnage. It is the second time in ODI history that a team's top five have all passed 50

* Australia will surpass their biggest tally of runs in a three-match ODI series if they post a total of at least 204 in Canberra on Wednesday.
