Perth Scorchers paceman Jason Behrendorff is adamant the team will get out of its form slump soon, and the addition of big-hitting English duo Jason Roy and Liam Livingstone will bolster their cause.

The Scorchers sit second last on the BBL ladder after posting two losses and a no-result from their opening three games.

Perth copped a howler of an umpire error in Tuesday night's seven-wicket loss to the Sydney Thunder, but it was ultimately their sub-standard batting and fielding that cost them.

The Scorchers take on the Adelaide Strikers in Adelaide on December 28 and 31 in a pair of matches crucial to the Scorchers' finals hopes.

Roy and Livingstone have completed their quarantine and are expected to be available for both games.

"That's going to be really exciting," Behrendorff said of the duo's addition.

"What they bring is a bit of experience, but also some serious power hitting at the top.

"They'll be champing at the bit to play some cricket and no doubt put their best foot forward as well."

Behrendorff feels the team isn't far away from hitting a purple patch.

"We've got a lot of experience and talent in the group. We're very confident that once we start playing those more complete games, we'll start getting the ball rolling," Behrendorff said.

"I wouldn't say it's season over if we come away empty handed (from Adelaide). Obviously it would put a bit of a dent in the way we want to go about the tournament, but we're not far off playing some really good cricket.

"Expect a very energised group to come back into Adelaide. We'll all have a couple of days off and mentally refresh and put everything on the table in Adelaide."

Behrendorff said the group have rallied around wicketkeeper Josh Inglis, who dropped Thunder star Callum Ferguson (61no) when the batsman was on just two.

Inglis has made scores of 4, 7, and 9 in a tough start to the season.

"Unfortunately it didn't quite go to plan for Ingo last night," Behrendorff said.

"He puts a lot of pressure on himself more so than anything else.

"As a group, the boys got around him. No one wants to fail, no one wants to do poorly. We know he'll bounce back."

Think. Is this a bet you really want to place?
