Perth Scorchers batsman Cameron Bancroft says his team will be in danger of spiralling if they get bogged down thinking about their poor form.

The Scorchers sit dead last on the BBL ladder with three losses and a washout to their name from four matches.

Their worst result came on Monday when they were bowled out for just 94 in a 71-run loss to the Adelaide Strikers.

The sides will clash again on Thursday in Adelaide and the Scorchers are desperate for a win.

Bancroft, who was dropped for the loss to Adelaide despite making an unbeaten 34 off 26 balls the previous game, said it was important to let go of the recent poor results and focus on the opportunity ahead.

"We've had some good reflection over the last 48 hours," Bancroft said.

"We would have liked to have started the tournament a little bit better, but the truth is you can't hold onto those thoughts too much otherwise you just keep spiralling.

"We'll do our best to keep learning, keep improving."

Bancroft lost his spot in the team to make way for the arrivals of big-hitting English duo Liam Livingstone and Jason Roy.

The pair made solid starts without going on with the job against the Strikers and the Scorchers will be hoping for bigger contributions in Thursday's rematch.

Perth's line-up on Monday featured nine current or former internationals and the pressure is on for them to produce.

Bancroft is a chance to earn a recall to help bolster the struggling batting line-up.

A win against the Strikers could help set up a purple patch for the Scorchers, who return to Perth for four consecutive games at Optus Stadium.

"We've got one more game to go hard at here but there's certainly a nice little light in the future that's something to look forward to," Bancroft said.
