AUSTRALIA v INDIA, THIRD TEST, DAY THREE:

Score: Australia 338 & 2-103, India 244

Summary: Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood starred with the ball to help Australia seize the upper hand after the tourists resumed at 2-96. Unbeaten batsmen Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne, having boosted their side's lead to 197 runs at stumps, are well placed to bat India out of the game.

Man of the moment: Cummins. Showed exactly why he sits atop the world's Test bowling rankings, especially during a decisive spell after lunch. The spearhead inflicted a painful blow to the arm of Rishabh Pant then removed Cheteshwar Pujara with a pinpoint ball on an awkward length.

Key moment: India had three run-outs during a game-changing collapse of 6-74. The slump started with an incredible piece of fielding from Hazlewood, who swooped on the ball from mid-off and threw down the stumps while diving to find Hanuma Vihari short of his ground.

Stat of the day: Cummins is the first bowler to dismiss Pujara four times in a Test series. The right-armer has conceded just 19 runs from 129 deliveries to Pujara during the current tour.

Quote of the day: "F***ing consistency," Tim Paine fumed to on-field umpire Paul Wilson, struggling to hide his rage after a review in the morning session failed to generate a wicket.
