AUSTRALIA v INDIA, FOURTH TEST, DAY THREE:

Score: Australia 369 & 294; India 336 & 0-4

Summary: Australia were flying early, but quick wickets and then some rain slowed their efforts to push for a declaration, eventually dismissed after tea to set what would be a Gabba-record 328 for a Test and series victory on the final day. Rain again cut short their pursuit after less than two overs.

Man of the moment: Leading the attack in his third Test and following the death of his father and last week's SCG crowd abuse dramas, Mohammed Siraj was rewarded with 5-73 - the second-best figures by an Indian seamer at the Gabba.

Key moment: David Warner looked to have rediscovered his touch in his attempts to push Australia out of reach with a big total. But offspinner Washington Sundar put the breaks on, his variations again proving too deceptive and forcing the hosts to rebuild.

Stat of the day: Not since Dale Steyn in 2008 has a visitor scored a half-century and taken more than seven wickets in a Test in Australia.

Quote of the day: "If I can speak technically about this pitch, it's more up and down than a drunk yo-yo ... I'd rather be bowling than batting," former Australian spinner Kerry O'Keeffe said on Fox Sports as the Gabba wicket began to play tricks.
