The WACA is confident Adam Voges will lead WA and the Perth Scorchers to future success after re-signing the coach for a further three years.

Perth Scorchers coach Adam Voges has signed a three-year contract extension, tying him to WA cricket until the end of the 2023-24 season.

Voges's future looked to be on shaky ground late last year when the Scorchers lost three of their first four games of the BBL season, with the other match a washout.

That wobbly start followed on from the franchise's sixth-place finish the previous season, and wooden spoon campaign of 2018-19.

But Voges masterminded a stunning summer revival of eight wins from their next 10 matches in a run that helped the Scorchers reach the final, which they lost to the Sydney Sixers.

The contract extension also sees Voges stay at the helm of Western Australia.

Voges led WA to last season's one-day title, and the Warriors are currently third on the Sheffield Shield table with one win and four draws from five matches.

WACA general manager of high performance Kade Harvey believes Voges is the right man to lead WA and the Scorchers to future success.

"Adam's commitment to WA Cricket has spanned across two decades and he exemplifies the values of our organisation," Harvey said.

"WA has a proud cricketing history and we're ambitious in our pursuit of a Sheffield Shield title while maintaining our dominance in the BBL.

"We firmly believe Adam is the best person to lead our men's teams forward and we're thrilled that he was eager to extend his tenure with WA Cricket."

Voges has been at the helm of both WA and the Scorchers since 2018, when Justin Langer was appointed coach of Australia.

WA will take on Queensland in a Shield match at the Gabba, starting on Saturday.
