AUSTRALIA v ENGLAND, THIRD TEST, DAY TWO:

Score: England (185 and 4-31) trail Australia (267) by 51 runs.

Summary: England enjoyed their best day of the series with the ball, despite a dramatic start when they were held back in the hotel because of four positive COVID cases among non-playing members of their camp. Jimmy Anderson claimed 4-33 to have Australia all out for 267, before their hard work was undone in an hour with the bat before stumps.

Man of the moment: Mitchell Starc. The left-armer put Australia back in command in one big over. He removed Zak Crawley and Dawid Malan in successive balls, before narrowly missing Joe Root's edge on the hat-trick ball. He had also added 24no with the bat late in Australia's innings.

Key moment: Scott Boland's penultimate over of the day. After Starc took two in two balls to start the innings, Boland ensured England went to stumps four down after getting Haseeb Hameed caught behind and bowling nightwatchman Jack Leach.

Stat of the day: Marcus Harris' 76 was his first score above 50 since January 2019 and will likely be enough to hold his opening spot at least for the rest of the series.
