The promoter aiming to pit NRL great Paul Gallen against Manly prop Josh Aloiai is hopeful a deal can be ratified in the coming days.

No Limit Boxing's George Rose is confident the pair can clash on a fight card scheduled for December 10.

Aloiai this week accused Gallen of "ducking and diving" an offer for the duo to square off, saying: "He (Gallen) has got a lot to lose if he comes into the ring with me."

Rose, however, was confident the pair could come to an agreement.

"We've got Gal signed to us for the next four fights," Rose told AAP.

"It's a big one for us and he has proved he is the toughest guy to transition from NRL to fighting.

"Putting on a good fight doesn't happen overnight."

Rose also confirmed axed Wests Tigers centre Joey Leilua was likely to feature on the Gallen-Aloiai undercard.

Leilua earlier this week fired a barb at Tigers coach Michael Maguire over his release from the club, claiming on social media: "I wouldn't play for someone that blames the team all the time! And not once himself #Madge."

The former Dally M centre of the year, who is without a NRL club, is believed to have lost close to 8kg as he prepares to enter the ring.

"He is keen to fight. He's been training hard and we've been throwing some bait out to see who wants him," Rose added.

"He has had a few guys who pulled out. He's a firebrand on the field and he plays with passion and power, let's see how it translates over to the boxing ring."
