Supermaxi Comanche's sensational lead-up to the Sydney to Hobart yacht race has continued with line honours and a race record in its latest outing.
Supreme supermaxi Comanche has continued its impressive build-up to the Sydney to Hobart yacht race with a record-breaking performance in the Bird Island Race.
The 100-foot boat clinched its fourth line honours win in five races in the Sydney Blue Water Pointscore, which concludes with this month's Sydney to Hobart.
Comanche set its third line honours record of the series on Saturday, finishing in six hours, eight minutes and 27 seconds.
The result broke the 2011 mark of six hours, 38 minutes and 56 seconds set by the much-smaller Loki.
Rival supermaxi Black Jack, which took line honours in the other race in this year's BWPS, was also inside the former record.
