Surfing lay day at WSL event in Bali

3 minute read

Continuing poor conditions have forced organisers to call a lay day at the World Surf League event in Bali.

Inconsistent waves have forced organisers to call a lay day at the World Surf League event in Bali.

After a full schedule on Monday, in which the men's and women's first-round heats were completed, the action was restricted to the afternoon on Tuesday with Australian duo Adrian Buchan and Ryan Callinan advancing from their second-round elimination heats.

Queenslander Julian Wilson headlines the Aussie contingent in the men's third round while world champion Stephanie Gilmore and Sally Fitzgibbons will take to the water in round of 16 heats when the women's action resumes.

The next call will be made on Thursday at 0825 AEST.
