Organisers have called a lay day for the World Surf League event in Bali with conditions set to improve at Keramas over the weekend.

Forecast improving conditions over the weekend has led to organisers calling a lay day for the World Surf League event in Bali.

A south-westerly swell is expected to start building at the Keramas break on Saturday with much better conditions forecast for a likely finals day on Sunday.

Organisers will make their next call on Saturday at 6.25am (0825AEST).
