The top four Super Netball teams clash on a significant Saturday for the competition with ladder leaders the Swifts playing at home for the first time in almost two months
At Sydney's Quaycentre, Giants (4th, 44 points) host Lightning (2nd, 62) in the afternoon and Swifts (1st, 65) meet the visiting Vixens (3rd, 61) in the evening.
The Swifts are the only team to have secured a finals spot with three rounds remaining but a loss to Vixens combined with a Lightning win could drop them to third.
It will be the first home game since June 16 for the Swifts, who got a maximum points away win over Vixens earlier in the season but have played three consecutive away matches either side of the break for the World Cup
"The Vixens are always a good challenge but we're just excited to have a home game," Swifts defender Maddy Turner said.
"We know we've secured a finals berth but to secure first or second and get a home semi-final and have the double chance of getting to the grand final is what we play for.
"Definitely this week everything is going to be on the line and I think that will be the same for every team in the top four."
.With a potential maximum of eight points in each game, winning the bonus point for each quarter becomes even more important, especially for Collingwood (5th, 40), who will play West Coast (6th, 27) on Monday.
"Probably the first season people didn't pay too much attention to the bonus points but now everyone knows what a huge role they can play in making finals," Magpies' shooter Nat Medhurst said.
Two-time defending champions Lightning are looking ominous having won five straight and scored a 72-61 home win over Giants earlier in the season.
"We had such a good first half and then they just came out in the second half and blew us out of the stadium, so this is definitely a big game for us " Giants centre Jamie-Lee Price said.
Price, who played wing defence for Australia at the World Cup has returned to centre for the Giants and is excited at the prospect of lining up directly against Lightning's New Zealand superstar Laura Langman
"It's a big challenge to play against her,, you can never take ger lightly because she can just run forever and she's got the brains," Price said.
