NSW Swifts will clash with Sunshine Coast Lightning in the first round of 2020 Super Netball.

NSW Swifts will host Sunshine Coast Lightning in the first round of the 2020 Super Netball season, in a rematch of the 2019 grand final.

The Swifts will host their rivals, who they beat 64-47 in this year's decider, at Ken Rosewall Arena in Sydney on Sunday 3 May.

The 2020 season begins with a double-header at Melbourne Arena a day earlier, when the Vixens host Queensland Firebirds and Collingwood Magpies take on West Coast Fever.

The Adelaide Thunderbirds host GIANTS Netball at Priceline Stadium in Sunday's other fixture, in which Thunderbirds Head Coach Tania Obst comes up against her old team.

"It's exciting for fans that the season is starting a bang, especially with the 2019 grand final rematch," Super Netball CEO Chris Symington said.

"We're looking forward to revealing the full 2020 fixture later this week - it's going to be another incredible season of the world's best netball."

The full 2020 fixtures will be released on Friday 15 November.
