Just two days out from his middleweight rematch with Michael Zerafa, Jeff Horn's willpower didn't waver despite being surrounded by hungry humans eating pizza on Monday.

Following his loss to Zerafa in Bendigo in August, Horn was publicly berated by trainer Glenn Rushton for his food choices ahead of the fight which was his first as a middleweight.

Pizza was mentioned by Rushton at the time, and that was the food on offer from one of the promotion's sponsors following Monday's media conference.

"(Promoter) Dean Lonergan got them as a sponsor and he asked me if it was all right," Horn told AAP.

"I won't be having any now but I'll be having some probably after the fight."

Horn reported no weight issues in the lead-up to the fight, during which he has made some significant changes.

"I've had a dietitian and a personal chef making my meals for me to the tee, measuring, those types of things," Horn said.

"Making sure that I'm getting the exact energy and food I need in every single day and for every single meal.

"I've made sure the diet is on point for this one and doing a lot of plyometrics works on my legs, just to make sure I'm nice and strong so I can be explosive for that ten rounds.

"I've done a lot of running and had my brother as a running partner for this preparation."

Zerafa revealed he was also in better shape as he chases his second win of the year over former WBO welterweight champion Horn.

"I'm a much better fighter mentally, physically," Zerafa told AAP.

"We've got more professionals on the team, our recovery, our eating."
