Boxer Jeff Horn's preparations for his next fight will start on Monday, the same day an auction for a pair of his gloves will finish.

Horn and his trainer-manager Glenn Rushton are auctioning off the gloves he used in his second bout with Michael Zerafa in December, with all proceeds going to the bush fire relief appeal.

Rushton said the auction will close around the time Horn gets back into training for his next bout, expected to be against unbeaten world-ranked junior middleweight and fellow Australian Tim Tszyu,

He said contracts hadn't yet been signed, as some key points such as date and venue had to be finalised though different sources have mentioned April in Brisbane as a a possibility.

The auctioned gloves, are unique in that they have Zerafa's name on them as they were the back-up pair made for that fighter.

Rushton opted to use them for his man as he felt they were physically smaller and delivered more shock than the ones made for Horn.

The Queenslander and former WBO welterweight champion scored a points win, avenging a stoppage loss to Victorian Zerafa earlier in the year.

Think. Is this a bet you really want to place?
