West Coast wing attack Emma Cosh says it would mean everything to her if the Fever can beat Melbourne Vixens in Sunday's Super Netball grand final.

High school teacher Emma Cosh will become one of the fairytale stories of the Super Netball season if West Coast can spring an upset against the Melbourne Vixens in Sunday's grand final.

Cosh had spent almost three years plugging away as a Fever training partner before making her long-awaited senior debut in round six this year.

The 27-year-old could only watch on from the sidelines when West Coast lost the 2018 grand final to Sunshine Coast Lightning, but she'll be in the thick of the action this time around against minor premiers Melbourne Vixens.

Cosh has spent most of her career playing goal attack, but she has thrived since being thrust into the unfamiliar wing attack role.

That move only came out of necessity after teammate Ingrid Colyer suffered a season-ending knee injury in round six.

Cosh admits nerves got the better of her during a shaky display in the team's semi-final victory over NSW Swifts two weeks ago.

But she produced an MVP performance in last week's preliminary final triumph over the Lightning to stamp herself as a major threat heading into Sunday's grand final.

Cosh is still technically considered a training member, and it remains to be seen whether she will be granted a full contract for next season.

But she's determined to grab her grand final opportunity with both hands.

"Being involved with them for the three years of training, it's given me a lot of exposure," Cosh said.

"I'm in my late 20s, but I guess everybody's journey is different in netball.

"I'm extremely proud of mine. I was just working towards my goals at my own pace.

"It would mean everything (to win the grand final). I'm so excited, and I think the bigger part is we've become so close over here and we're such a family.

"We've got that fire in the belly to finish the season off and go home to WA and make our supporters really proud."

Fever fought out a thrilling 63-63 draw with the Vixens when the teams last met in round 10.

The Vixens have been installed as warm favourites for the decider after losing just twice this season and earning the extended break.

Cosh, who hails from the coastal WA town of Geraldton, runs the netball program at Governor Stirling Senior High School in Perth.

She has used the down time during Fever's Hub experience to catch up on marking, and said she had received messages of support from some of her students.
