Boxing star Tim Tszyu has lined up his next fight, taking on highly-ranked Irishman Dennis Hogan in March as he continues his march toward a world title.

The super welterweight pair will get in the ring on Wednesday March 31, and the venue is yet to be decided with Sydney, Newcastle and Gold Coast in the mix

Hogan (28-3-1, 7 KO), fights out of Brisbane and represents a big step up from Tszyu's most recent rival Bowyn Morgan.

A two-time world-title challenger, 35-year-old Hogan is ranked eighth in the WBA middleweight standings.

His last fight was against American Jermall Charlo in December 2019 in New York, when he lost by technical knockout in the seventh round.

He called out Tszyu (17-0-0) following the 26-year-old Australian's easy first-round knock-out win over Morgan in Sydney last month.

Tszyu is No.2 in the WBO super welterweight rankings, but will have to wait until after Patrick Teixeira's February 13th defence against mandatory challenger Brian Castano for his own crack at the belt.
