Wests Tigers coach Michael Maguire says he'll "wait and see" whether Benji Marshall can be rushed back in for Saturday's clash with Gold Coast.

Maguire may make changes to his team after accusing them of failing to turn up mentally in a 51-6 NRL trouncing at the hands of Parramatta on Monday.

And veteran playmaker Marshall could be one of them, as he recovers from a hamstring injury keeping him on the sidelines since round three.

"I have to wait and see. He trained (Monday) morning. He ran," Maguire said.

"Hamstrings are a tricky one. You've got to make sure you get it right because it can obviously give you 'six-to-ten-weeker' if you don't get it right.

"How fast you can, and how many times you run ... with the science (in) this day and age, you can really judge it quite well.

"But also (Marshall) being a little bit older than a few of the players, we've got to make sure we judge that right as well."

The inclusion of Marshall could be crucial for a Tigers side that lost hooker Robbie Farah to concussion early in the contest against the Eels.

Without a utility on his bench, Maguire was forced to move skipper Moses Mbye to hooker, Corey Thompson to fullback and Michael Chee Kam to centre.

The Tigers also lost second-rower Luke Garner to a head knock, however Maguire revealed both he and Farah had passed their head injury assessments.

Both players are expected to be available to take on the Titans.

"(Farah) was actually right to go back on. It was just unfortunately due to the stipulations around concussions, he couldn't go back out," Maguire said.

"You pass the test, but it's how it looks. Obviously he had a stumble there."
