Penrith prop Tim Grant is expected to undergo surgery after suffering a torn pec in the Panthers' NRL win over Manly.
Penrith prop Tim Grant is expected to undergo surgery and could miss around three months after suffering a torn pec.
The Panthers on Friday said the former NSW Origin forward had suffered a grade two tear during Thursday's win over Manly.
The injury usually requires a 10-to-14 weeks recovery time and the club said he would be sidelined indefinitely.
The setback leaves the off-contract 31-year-old racing the clock to get back on the field this year,
"The 31-year-old will visit a specialist on Monday and will likely require surgery to repair the damage," the club said.
"Grant will be sidelined indefinitely, with a more specific timeline to be established in consultation with the specialist next week."
