Gold Coast forward Jai Arrow will have scans on his injured ankle on Saturday with his spot in next weekend's second State of Origin in severe doubt.

With Queensland to name their team for the June 23 clash on Sunday, the results of Arrow's scans will be a big concern for Maroons coach Kevin Walters.

Arrow limped off in the 28th minute of the Titans' 24-20 NRL loss to the Warriors at Cbus Super Stadium, after falling awkwardly in a two-man tackle.

Titans' coach Garth Brennan said it appeared Arrow had suffered a syndesmosis injury and wasn't confident the 23-year-old would be fit to line-up for Queensland.

With Joe Ofahengaue already ruled out by Brisbane coach Anthony Seibold as he recovers from surgery on the gashed knee he suffered in his Origin debut, Arrow's injury may open the door for Titans teammate Jarrod Wallace.

Overlooked for game one, Wallace has turned in three impressive performances since the Maroons' squad for the series opener was named.

On Friday Wallace played 73 minutes, led the Titans with 164 running metres and made 26 tackles.

"That's the thing in NRL we're going to have those disappointments and it's how we respond to them," Wallace told AAP.

"There's no point in kicking cans, that's not going to get me back into the squad.

"I just had to go out there and do what I needed to do and play footy, do the best I could and I felt I did that.

"It'll be up to Kevvie now but if I get that opportunity I'll take it. I won't let no-one down.

"I want my jersey back and I'll do everything I can if I do get it back to make sure I keep it."
