Gold Coast have secured the future of promising teenage prop Moeaki Fotuaika, locking him down to a new deal.

The 19-year-old has inked a deal to keep him at the Titans until the end of the 2022 NRL season.

After debuting for the Titans in 2018, Fotuaika has gone on to make 36 first grade appearances for the club including 20 games this season.

Despite being hampered by a wrist injury for most of the year, Fotuaika's form has put him firmly in the frame to earn a Test call-up for Tonga

His rise has been one of the highlights of the past two disappointing seasons for the club, with the Titans destined to pick up this year's wooden spoon.

Earlier this month commentator and former premiership-winning coach Phil Gould named Fotuaika, Jai Arrow and AJ Brimson as the only three players he believed incoming coach Justin Holbrook should retain at the underperforming Titans.

"The future is bright for this club, and it is going to head in the right direction in coming years," Fotuaika said.

"I really want to take this club forward and hopefully win a premiership."

Think. Is this a bet you really want to place?
