Melbourne Storm have locked in contract extensions with four members of their NRL forward pack, including injured Queensland State of Origin representative Christian Welch.

Queenslander Welch looked set to join Parramatta before suffering his second season-ending knee injury in early August and has now taken up his option to remain with Melbourne for 2020.

New Zealand Test second-rower Kenny Bromwich and Fiji international prop Tui Kamikamica, who are coming off career-best NRL seasons, have extended their deals until the end of the 2022 season.

Tongan representative Albert Vete, who was off contract, has been given a one-year extension.

The Storm look set to lose centre Curtis Scott to Canberra, which is even more of a blow given Will Chambers' departure to rugby union in Japan.
