Josh Addo-Carr has been linked to a move home to Sydney but Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy expects the winger to see out his contract.

Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy has reaffirmed the NRL club's desire for Josh Addo-Carr to see out his contract in Melbourne.

In 2017, Addo-Carr signed a contract extension with the Storm until the end of 2021 but has been linked to a return to his hometown of Sydney.

Nearly two weeks after Storm chief executive Dave Donaghy said Addo-Carr was staying put in Melbourne, Bellamy said he expected the winger to be at pre-season training on Monday and beyond.

"We expect that he'll fulfil his contract, so until something happens other than that, that's what we're expecting," he said.

Addo-Carr has been a revelation since joining the Storm, with his club form leading to call-ups for NSW and Australia.

The Storm coach emphasised the club's intent to hold Addo-Carr to his contract and hinted at issues between the 24-year-old and his manager .

"... I think he's having some issues with his manager at the moment or they're having issues with each other, so as I said, he's got another two years to run on his contract and we'll be expecting him to see out those two years," Bellamy said.

Teammate Sandor Earl said he'd spoken to Addo-Carr and hoped to see him stay put.

"I've tried to obviously keep it on as much of a friendship base as I can," Earl said.

"If his circumstances do change in terms of his family, I'm sure that's going to put a bit of pressure on but a guy like Josh you never want to lose.

"So we're looking forward to him coming back to pre-season and hopefully we don't lose a guy like that because there's really only one Josh Addo-Carr in the NRL."
