Brisbane have had three players charged after their loss to Penrith, making for 14 players sanctioned in total by the NRL match review committee this year.

Brisbane's horror season at the NRL judiciary has continued with two players facing bans after their loss to Penrith and another narrowly escaping suspension.

In what is now the club's worst performing year on the field after chalking up 14 losses, the Broncos have also had 14 players charged in just 16 rounds.

Second-rower Jordan Riki faces a one-game ban for a crusher tackle on Nathan Cleary, while Jamil Hopoate is also looking at a week on the sidelines for a dangerous throw.

Corey Paix will meanwhile escape suspension with an early guilty plea for the same dangerous throw tackle on James Fisher-Harris in the 25-12 loss.

Discipline continues to be at the heart of the Broncos' problems this year.

Assuming Riki and Hopoate are suspended, it will make for 16 games missed through suspension this year for Brisbane.

And that doesn't take into account their off-field woes, with Joe Ofahengaue and Tevita Pangai missing games for behavioural issues.

Brisbane's poor attitude is further highlighted by the fact they are the only team to have given away more than 100 penalties in 2020.
