Brisbane Broncos forward Amber Hall will miss one NRLW game after pleading no contest to a dangerous contact charge for an ugly tackle.

Brisbane forward Amber Hall will miss Saturday's NRLW grand final preview after pleading no contest to a dangerous contact charge for a controversial tackle on Isabelle Kelly.

Hall could have escaped suspension with an early guilty plea to the grade one charge but would have taken 75 carryover points into Saturday's clash with the Sydney Roosters.

Any additional charge would have put her at risk of missing the grand final in a fortnight for the tackle that left St George Illawarra star Kelly with a broken ankle.

She has also copped a $350 fine for contrary conduct for the hair pull that preceded the 'hip drop' style tackle.

But while the Broncos have opted for the cautious approach with Hall's plea, captain Ali Brigginshaw will take 75 carryover points into Saturday's game against the Roosters.

The Jillaroos five-eighth has taken the early guilty plea for a grade one dangerous contract charge for a hit on Dragons halfback Maddie Studdon in last week's 18-4 win.

Regardless of this week's results, the Broncos and Roosters will play the NRLW grand final after winning their first two games of the season.

It means the season is over for St George Illawarra's Shaylee Bent after she accepted a one-match ban for a crusher tackle.

The Dragons will play the Warriors on Saturday with both clubs looking for their first win of the season.
