Tigers' Musgrove faces three-game NRL ban

3 minute read

Zane Musgrove could be suspended for Wests Tigers NRL season start after being charged with a grade two shoulder charge stemming from the All Stars game.

Wests Tigers front-rower Zane Musgrove could miss the start of the NRL season for his shoulder charge on Tyrell Fuimaono during the All Stars game in Townsville.

Musgrove's shot on Fuimaono in the 35th minute of play resulted in the prop being sent to the sin bin and on Sunday was deemed a grade two shoulder charge by the NRL match review committee.

If the 24-year-old Musgrove takes an early guilty plea he'll miss two games while he faces a three-game ban if he contests the charge and is found guilty.

In another incident stemming from Saturday night's 10-all draw in the pre-season spectacle, Mugrove's Maori teammate Dallin Watene-Zelezniak was charged with a grade one careless high tackle on Alex Johnston.

Canterbury outside back Watene-Zelezniak can accept a $1350 fine with an early guilty plea.

Think. Is this a bet you really want to place?
