Cronulla are in the sights of Gold Coast wrecking ball David Fifita as the representative forward prepares to return from a two-game NRL suspension on Sunday.

Gold Coast forward David Fifita will take out a fortnight's frustration when he returns from suspension in Sunday's NRL clash against Cronulla.

The Titans' wrecking ball has missed the past two games after being banned for a high shot on Adam Doueihi in the round 9-win over Wests Tigers.

In a warning for the Sharks, Titans co-captain Jamal Fogarty said Fifita was itching to get back on the field.

"It's obviously good to have Dave in our team with his competitive nature because he's sort of been walking around the club a bit agitated not being able to play," Fogarty said.

"Dave's a great player and everyone knows what he can do and just his presence on the field gives guys around him a lot of confidence.

"Hopefully he can just come in and just be Dave, we don't need him to do anything special. He just needs to keep doing what he's been doing for our club so far."

Cronulla dramatically snapped a six-match losing streak with a one-point win over St George Illawarra last weekend and head to Coffs Harbour with extra belief from that victory.

The Titans also grabbed a win last weekend, bouncing back from a heavy Magic Round defeat to Penrith with a hard-fought 30-20 victory over Canterbury.

Fogarty said while the win over the Bulldogs was scrappy what mattered most was the result.

"We're definitely leaking too many points and we're not happy with that but we're happy with the win," he said.

"Sometimes, if you win ugly, it's better than a good loss and we've had a couple of good losses where we've had 12-20 point leads and we've blown it and lost."

The Sharks, who have won their past five matches against the Titans, have been forced into multiple changes with Mawene Hiroti, Josh Dugan and Teig Wilton all suspended.

Ronaldo Mulitalo and Jesse Ramien are both back from injury while Siosifa Talakai returns from suspension to take Wilton's spot on the interchange bench.

Shaun Johnson will return from a hamstring injury to make his 200th NRL appearance while ex-representative forward Andrew Fifita comes in for Billy Magoulias.
