NSW are set to move their camp ahead of State of Origin II to Kingscliff to avoid any dramas relating to Sydney's COVID outbreak.
NSW are expected to announce they are moving their camp to Kingscliff near the Queensland border next week to avoid any COVID complications leading up to State of Origin II in Brisbane.
An outbreak in Sydney's eastern suburbs grew to three cases on Thursday after a woman was exposed to coronavirus at a cafe.
The Blues were set to assemble in Coogee on Monday but it's understood the decision to move to Kingscliff will be confirmed on Friday with NSW coach Brad Fittler eager for an uninterrupted camp.
The northern NSW town is about a two-hour drive from Brisbane, where game two will be played at Suncorp Stadium on June 27.
It won't be the first time NSW have held a pre-Origin camp in Kingscliff, having been there in 2010 and 2016.
Sydney's COVID outbreak has already impacted the NRL with Sydney Roosters players and staff undergoing tests on Thursday and league officials considering imposing a ban on players attending public areas such as restaurants or cafes.
