Brisbane scrum-half Brodie Croft has signed a two-year deal with Salford in the Super League.

Super League club Salford have announced the signing of Brisbane half-back Brodie Croft on a two-year deal.

The 24-year-old, who was once considered the heir-apparent to Cooper Cronk at Melbourne, will join the Red Devils at the end of the NRL season.

"I'm super excited about this opportunity to join the Red Devils," said Croft.

"Rich (Richard Marshall) has been very thorough and bold with the ambitions going forward at the club and I cannot wait to get started."

Brisbane Football & Performance Director Ben Ikin said Croft displayed a terrific work ethic and had given his all since arriving at the Broncos.

"Everyone at the club wishes Brodie and his young family all the best in the future," said Ikin.

"We have made some long-term decisions which have seen players move on, while others have extended or signed with the club for 2022 and beyond."

Croft joins the likes of Tevita Pangai (left already) and Anthony Milford on the way out, as the struggling NRL club plots a path back to their glory days.

The Broncos currently sit second last in the NRL ladder with just the Canterbury Bulldogs beneath them.
