Tigers re-sign Alex Twal until end of 2024

3 minute read

Wests Tigers have re-signed Alex Twal on a two-year deal that will keep him at the NRL club until the end of 2024.

Wests Tigers have locked in Alex Twal until the end of 2024 after signing the middle forward on a new two-year deal.

Already contracted until the end of next NRL season, Twal was taken off the market by the Tigers on Sunday.

It marks the club's second big move in the forwards in the space of a week, with Parramatta backrower Isaiah Papali'i also signed up for 2023.

A Parramatta junior, Twal has become one of the Tigers' most consistent players in recent years.

He averaged the most metres of all their forwards last year with 109 per game, and was second in the tackle count only to hooker Jacob Liddle.

"I'm really happy to be staying at Wests Tigers," Twal said.

"Wests Tigers feels like part of my DNA now.

"I've been there for five years and know we're building something very special with the people we have at the club."

Think. Is this a bet you really want to place?
