There are some new and old faces in the Wallabies named to face South Africa in their Rugby Championship opener in Johannesburg.

James Slipper (prop)

Age: 30

Tests: 86

Returns to Wallabies fold after two years out including a two-month ban for cocaine use. Dumped by the Reds but reignited his career this Super Rugby season with the Brumbies.

Isi Naisarani (No.8)

Age: 24

Tests: 0

Fijian-born Naisarani has long been earmarked to play for Australia and qualified in April this year. Was one the Melbourne Rebels' best during Super Rugby.

Nic White (halfback)

Age: 29

Tests: 22

White last played for the Wallabies in August 2015 before he shifted his career off-shore. Cut short his contract with UK club Exeter to roll the dice for the Rugby World Cup.

Harry Johnson-Holmes

Age: 22

Tests: 0

Rushed to Johannesburg after a run of front-row injuries, Johnson-Holmes has only played 12 Super Rugby games with the Waratahs and can expect a baptism of fire at Ellis Park.
