Australia will face the USA, Samoa and Scotland in Pool C of the Los Angeles Sevens.

The Aussie men's team are seventh in the 2020 series standings on 47 points after four rounds.

Tim Walsh's side finished sixth in the Sydney Sevens last week, and have not won a world series leg since Sydney in 2018.

The USA, who have won titles on home soil for the past two years, thumped Australia 43-7 in Parramatta on Sunday on their way to a bronze medal.

Mike Friday's Eagles are ranked sixth in the series standings, but are level with Australia on 47 points.

Scotland and Samoa are ranked 12th and 13th in the standings respectively.

Australia will open their tournament against Scotland on March 1 (AEDT), before facing Samoa later on Sunday and the USA in their final Pool C match.

Olympic Champions Fiji, who claimed their first title of the series in Sydney, will take on France, Argentina and Korea in Pool A.

South Africa join Ireland, Canada and Kenya in Pool B, while series leaders New Zealand will compete in Pool D alongside England, Spain and Wales.

The tournament will begin on February 29.
