If John Aloisi is a coach under pressure then he's doing a great job of hiding it.

Brisbane's poor start to the A-League season - one win in seven matches - has led to speculation over the ex-Socceroos' future as Roar coach.

A 2-0 loss over Newcastle last weekend was arguably the poorest of the Roar's displays this season.

While frustrated, Aloisi says talk about his future is not distracting him from turning around the club's fortunes.

"I'm a coach that's focused ... we're ready for the next 20 games that are coming," he said.

"We're a good side. The results haven't gone our way yet and people are going to talk and say that 'why haven't they got those results?'

"We'll get them and we're confident we will.

"I understand there's going to be a bit of noise. That comes with the territory. It's part of it but you can't listen to what the noise is about."

Aloisi has at least one person in his corner, Melbourne Victory coach Kevin Muscat.

His former Socceroos teammate says people underestimate how tough it's been for Aloisi in his time at the Roar.

Since moving into the Roar hotseat in May 2015, Aloisi has had to deal with off-field issues such as players not getting paid and ongoing concerns over the club's ownership as well as significant injury concerns.

"I don't know all the ins and outs of what goes on at any other football club apart from this one," Muscat said.

"What's been made public and what they've gone through over a period of time and for John to stay positive as he has done. It deserves some recognition."

Think. Is this a bet you really want to place?
